Ingredients

  • 100 g tarama or smoked fish roe
  • 200 g soaked bread or cooked potato
  • 120 ml olive oil
  • 60 ml lemon juice
  • 40 g onion
  • 40 ml cold water

Instructions

  1. Soak the bread if using, then squeeze it dry; if using potato, cook and cool it first.
  2. Blend tarama, onion, lemon juice, and a little cold water until smooth.
  3. Stream in the olive oil slowly until the dip becomes pale, thick, and creamy.
  4. Chill before serving and adjust with lemon or cold water if the flavor is too salty.

  • Serve with warm bread, pita, crackers, vegetable sticks, chips, or grilled flatbread.
